Picking up where we left off on Randy’s 45-pound weight gain, Randy elaborates on a few issues that he feels you should be clear on regarding his large increase in body weight.
Actually, as of mid-August, Randy states that his weight had reached 212.5 pounds, making his total gain 52.5 pounds since last July.
The primary reason, however, for an additional podcast on this subject has to do with a specific exercise that Randy had re-evaluated and incorporated back into his training regimen.
He strongly feels that this movement, done properly, assisted in a better 200+ bodyweight than he had ever carried before.
02:25 Randy always believed in the philosophy that you have to eat to build muscle. If you want to put on muscle you have to be dedicated and you have to increase your calories.
05:10 Randy found out that he was able to communicate better with the food and raw food communicates much better with his body.
07:20 Randy added that aside from food, the other component that helped him was he started revisiting squats. Incorporated high rep squats.
11:02 Randy mentioned that he didn’t weigh himself regularly but he was surprised that he was on the 200lbs mark.
