Podcast: Play in new window | Download
Twice now, in 2015, Randy has gone off at the mouth ranting on the grotesque payment of professional athletes and the often over-hype of specific events. Well, today he finally has something more positive to say about top NFL pro quarterback Tom Brady of the New England Patriots.
Brady surprised many by putting the frost on Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes and Coca-Cola in a recent interview on a Massachusetts radio program. Brady also defended his partner and body coach, Alex Guerrero who was under fire with previous claims for his holistic approach to health and sports performance.
Listen in to get the full scoop.
00:59 Tamas introduced the podcast topic which is about Tom Brady.
01:26 Tom was doing this interview in Massachusetts and he found himself on the defense when the interviewer went after him about his relationship with Alex Guerrero who is Tom’s body coach and business partner.
01:47 According to Randy, Guerrero is a holistic practitioner who got in trouble with the FTC. He produced a product called the Supreme Greens. He made the mistake of claiming that the product is very effective in fighting cancer which invokes the wrath of the Sloan Institute which is a Rockefeller funded cancer research institute. They assisted the FTC in going after Guerrero who was claiming to be a doctor.
02:40 Randy mentioned that Guerrero is respected and loved by a lot of professional athletes because he gets results.
02:51 Randy added that when Tom was defending Guerrero, he went off and did a big no-no, he ditched Coca-Cola and Frosted Flakes. Randy added that the irony is that professional sports is often sponsored by alcohol and sugar.
03:17 Tamas read the quote from Brady:
On Frosted Flakes – “I think that we’ve been lied to by a lot of food companies over the years, by a lot of beverage companies over the years but we still believe it, we believe that Frosted Flakes is a food”
On Coca-Cola – “You probably go out and drink Coca-Cola and think Oh yeah, that’s no problem, Why? because they pay lots of money for advertisement to think that you should drink Coca-cola for a living, I totally disagree with that, and when people do that. I think that’s quackery, the fact that they can sell that to kids, I mean that’s poison for kids”
04:27 Randy pointed out that when grains are made into cereals, it goes into an extrusion process of pressure and steam heat where during that process, it is mixed with additional ingredients and chemicals, it is believed that something toxic comes about.
07:45 Randy mentioned that Tom Brady, makes so much money, he doesn’t care now, he’s got enough money where he can say what he believes.
08:08 Tamas read another quote from Brady about doctors saying that he cannot play again because of his injuries. “I had doctors with the highest and best education in the country tell me that I won’t be able to play football again, that I would need multiple surgeries on my knee for my staph infection that I would need a new ACL, a new MCL and that I wouldn’t be able to play with my kids when I’m older. Of course, I go back the next year and we win Come Back Player of the Year, I followed the next season and we win MVP of the year, I have chosen a different approach and that’s what I’m providing to other athletes”.
14:36 Randy added the bottom line is Kudos to Tom Brady, he spoke out, he used his position with his star status and he spoke out against “shit” food for kids and that was good, and we need more athletes doing that.
UPDATE: We receive some preliminary books and according to everybody who has looked at it, it looks really really good. The launch date is December 16, 2015. We will be shipping the books out and Randy will be signing at least 200 books and ordering is available on the website.
